On October 14th 2009, I am leaving my family and friends, in the city I've called home for the majority of my life, to meet new faces, see new sights and fully volunteer my time for the next 10 months with Americorps NCCC. Leaving the East coast city of Rochester NY to embark on an adventure West bound to Sacramento CA with creative intentions to share my excentric nature while I help, rebuild and work where ever I'm needed the most. I can only encourage all who would like to know what's going on in my head to keep up and enjoy the ride.
Why I serve:
I serve to help set an example, to encourage myself and others that it indeed can be done for the greater good of things. I serve to push myself and for the sake of reaching out to as many people as I possibly can, I want to make a difference in the lives of others as well as my own. All the while, whole heartedly, on the search for genuine smiles to get us through it all.
